Field Day on our OWN Fields!

For the last several years, New Life Camp has graciously allowed us to use their facilities for field day because (as we are all painfully aware) there were no fields at the Glenwood location.

This year, we had the tremendous experience of having our traditional end of year field day... on our OWN fields!

The entire lower school spent the day outside competing in relay races, watching teachers toss water baloons to each other and just being kids.

Here are some more pictures from the event:

The Cairn is Completed

When we had the ground-breaking for our campus, our families and staff came together to build a stone cairn to commemorate the event. The cairn still stands in the shade of a maple tree near the lake.

We left room on the cairn for a plaque that would describe the event and the meaning of the monument. The plaque was cast in bronze and has finally been set in place on the monument.

This is what it says:

On November 14th, 2004 the families, faculty, and staff of Trinity Academy of Raleigh assembled here to celebrate the groundbreaking of the school’s campus on this land. Each family brought a stone inscribed with a verse from the Bible that they felt conveyed their blessing on the school. These stones were assembled to form this cairn, which commemorates the event and serves as a permanent reminder that Trinity Academy was founded to prepare students to live with wisdom, excellence, and purpose in the modern world by offering them an education grounded in the Christian faith and the classical tradition
